EU-MENA PSD: Correspondent Banking and AML / CFT
The UAB invites you to save the date for participation in the 3rd edition of the EU-MENA PSD which will be organized in cooperation with the ECB, EBF and FATF with the support of the United Nations Sanctions Monitoring Team.
With the changes in the regulatory and enforcement landscape, primarily with respect to more rigorous prudential requirements, economic and trade sanctions, AML/CFT scrutiny along with transparency concerns, and recent developments and international efforts to fight financing terrorism in hopes to diminish threats and unflavored consequences, the 3rd edition of the EU-MENA PSD will showcase insights, experiences and recommendations for AML / CFT proactive planning and implementation, combating financing terrorism in a changing regulatory environment, regional and international compliance challenges, de-risking, penalties, sanctions, strategies to improve vigilance and due diligence, and challenges of corresponding banks relations.
PSD 2018 in Brussels will provide the platform for regional and international regulators and bankers to discuss these issues with a focus on strengthening EU-MENA economic dialogue and reaching tangible recommendations for correspondent banking relations and the fight against money laundering and financing terrorism. High level Participation from European and US Regulatory officials is expected including the ECB, EBF, FATF, OECD, UN Sanctions Monitoring team and the US Department of the Treasury.
